Statements: The creation of this photographic work began with the question, “Can the world of plants, which cannot be captured by the eye, be expressed through photography?" Inspired by Rachel Carson's “Sense of Wonder,” I aimed to capture the hidden marvels of nature through my lens. By photographing plants, seeds, and flowers as though observing their cells, I uncovered an unknown universe. This unseen world of plants, full of infinite possibilities and surprises, invites viewers to sense the mystery of nature that is invisible yet undeniably present.

About Tomoko Iki: Tomoko Iki is a fine art photographer from Japan, with a degree from the Department of Human Environment Design, Sugiyama Jogakuen University. Her passion for both photography and dance reflects her belief that these art forms are intertwined creative forces. Dance informs her photography, as it allows her to explore her spirit and engage in a ritualistic connection with nature. Through her work, she seeks to convey the universal desire for truth and movement, revealing a deep sense of femininity and a connection with the divine
