Although transitioning farmland to organic methods is labor-intensive and initially results in lower yields, SAYAKA DAVIS supports this effort through a partnership with NSL, an Indian company. This collaboration aids farmers from their first year of conversion (IC1), focusing on protecting workers' health, enhancing soil quality, and improving environmental conditions.

Despite the growing trend towards organic cotton, it represents only 3% of global production, creating supply challenges. Farmers face reduced yields during the transition, economic pressures, and knowledge gaps. SAYAKA DAVIS advocates for a comprehensive shift in the fashion industry to achieve true sustainability and is dedicated to supporting initiatives that foster a sustainable and forward-looking fashion system.
