FIRE HORSE EMBROIDERY
OTAKARA NYC × SAYAKA DAVIS

A knit sweatshirt made from a blend of organic cotton and wool. Crafted using an interlock knitting technique, the fabric has a refined appearance and a soft, supple texture not typically found in traditional sweatshirts, while offering just the right amount of body and structure.

Designed for early autumn, when the weather is still warm, this piece balances comfort and polish. Sweatshirt-inspired details are translated into knit form, adding a subtle casual touch.

This special piece features Fire Horse embroidery, hand-stitched by OTAKARA NYC, by New York–based artist Satoshi Suzuki. Each motif begins as a hand-drawn sketch and is embroidered individually, giving every piece its own character.

The Fire Horse references 2026 — the Year of the Fire Horse (Hinoe-uma) in the East Asian zodiac calendar. Appearing only once every 60 years, it symbolizes strength, independence, and forward movement, serving as a quiet talisman rather than decoration.

Pair it with the matching knit sweatpants for a cohesive look.
